At Fulton Science Academy, we understand that education is not just about academics, but also about character development.
We believe that character education is essential for developing the leaders of tomorrow. Our core values, ICARE (Integrity, Curiosity, Advocacy, Resiliency, Empathy) are the foundation of our school community and guide our school life. These values are essential for our students not only in the classroom but also in their personal and professional lives.
We prioritize the well-being of our students by ensuring that every school level has a dedicated school counselor. Our counselors work with students individually and in groups to support their social-emotional growth and academic success.
We are committed to creating a safe and caring learning environment for our students, where they can develop not only academically but also personally. We believe that by emphasizing character education and social-emotional learning, we can help our students become well-rounded individuals who will make positive contributions to their communities.
Our commitment to character education and social-emotional learning has been recognized with several awards, including being designated as a Georgia State School of Character and a National School of Character.
To support our character initiative, we have dedicated a daily period known as IMPACT (Intentionally Making Positive Actions Count Together) and College Prep time for students to receive lessons to support their growth.
We use curriculums from Caring School Communities and Stanford University’s Project Wayfinder to help our students develop positive core values and strengthen their social-emotional skills.

ADVOCATE PROGRAM
In addition to having a school counselor, we also ensure that every student has an adult advocate to support them in goal setting. This adult advocate may be a teacher, staff member, or mentor who is dedicated to helping the student set and achieve their goals. This individualized support helps students develop a sense of accountability and motivation towards their personal and academic goals.
