Pre-K Program

Our Pre-K program provides purposeful learning experiences that enable students to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

We offer an engaging day full of stories, songs, stories, conversations, critical thinking, cooperative learning, and a variety of diverse resources that stimulate curiosity and promote active learning.

Our program features a challenging early learning curriculum that concentrates on developing your child’s self-help abilities, promoting school readiness, and equipping students with the tools necessary to excel academically and socially.

Our Approach

Our approach emphasizes the development of social and emotional skills, art, music, and language through cooperative play and purposeful learning. We use a variety of tools and techniques, including Heidi Songs for Dolch Sight Words, math manipulatives, and interactive learning games on the Promethean Board, to enrich our program and enhance student learning.

We encourage vocabulary development, hands-on learning, and incorporate reading and writing into all areas of the curriculum. Classes are led by experienced and enthusiastic, certified teachers, and a full-time counselor is available to provide comprehensive support in all areas of development.

Assessment

To ensure that our students are making progress and meeting their potential, we conduct ongoing assessments throughout the school year.

Additionally, we use the ESGI assessment data tool to track student progress and make data-driven decisions that help support each child’s individual needs.

We use a range of benchmark tests provided by the O.W.L. curriculum, as well as observation checklists, anecdotal notes, and work samples kept in student portfolios.
