Elementary Science Olimpiad

Head Coaches: Mrs. Vickery, Ms. Evans

At FSA, Elementary Science Olympiad is an academic team that strives to provide challenging and motivational events to help students pursue their science interests beyond the classroom. ESO offers a balance of science concepts from biology, earth science, chemistry, physics and technology. ESO is a great opportunity for students to flourish in science as their own person, but also as a team. All events require teamwork and collaboration, which encourages students to develop a team spirit. Elementary Science Olympiad is a competitive academic team for students in 3-5 grade at Fulton Science Academy Private School.

Elementary Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of 18 team events in the Elementary Division A. Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology. By combining events from all disciplines, Elementary Science Olympiad encourages a wide cross section of students to get involved. Emphasis is placed on active, hands-on group participation. Through Elementary Science Olympiad, students, teachers, parents, and administrators bond together and work toward a shared goal. Elementary Science Olympiad requires dedication, preparation, commitment, coaching, and practice throughout the year. Each school-based team is allowed to bring 20 3-5 grade students who cross-train for a variety of events in their skill set. Fulton Science Academy Private School will have 1 ESO team this year with each student preparing for 2-3 events.
