Music Instrument Selection for the 2020 – 2021 Academic Year

Participation in Band or Orchestra is mandatory at FSA for 5th-8th grade students as a part of our STEAM curriculum. Our Instrument Selection Day event will be at FSA in August 2020. Stay tuned for more detailed information about how this day will work.

Students can choose from a variety of instruments including…

Violin
Viola
Cello
Flute
Clarinet
Alto Saxophone
Trumpet
Trombone
Percussion
- (Percussionists will learn all the instruments you can hit, shake, or scrape!)

Instrument specialists will be there to help with rentals, sizing, and more! Students should wait until Instrument Selection Day to select an instrument. If they want to choose something during the summer, they should reach out to Ms. Otim first.

Independent study in music theory/history is available for students who do not wish to play an instrument.
