FSA had nine students in the GNFCC (Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce) Emerging Young Leaders Program Class of 2020. The graduation was virtual, where the students presented their group projects on topics that are affecting young people in the north Fulton community. Even though FSA had nine students they also worked with students from other area high schools, to brainstorm, problem solve and create a presentation. Some of the topics were academic pressure, social and peer pressure, and alcohol and substance abuse. FSA’s presence in the program went from two students participating in 2019 to nine in 2020. The program is open to any high school student who wishes to improve and cultivate their leadership skills. It also exposes them to interaction with local business leaders and professionals who share their knowledge on networking and teamwork.
